Miscellaneous: MEG Diana+ and JACK Holga Custom Cameras

The White Stripes and Lomography present two completely custom cameras: the JACK Holga and MEG Diana+. The legendary Diana and Holga cameras are known for their serendipitous 'imperfections' and cinematic qualities. These special editions follow the band's red, white and black color scheme down to the peppermint swirl on their frame advance dials. Frequent collaborator Rob Jones designed the custom packaging for both sets. Only 3000 of each camera were made.
MEG Diana+ Multi Function All-Plastic Camera comes with 'Nobody Knows How To Talk To Children' Ringflash and custom Peppermint Film Mask Filter.
JACK Holga Flash Camera Starter Kit includes additional Fisheye Lens, three filter set and custom Peppermint Lens Filter.
The MEG Diana+ and JACK Holga Cameras will be available from The White Stripes official webstore on Monday 15th October 2007 12noon (EDT).
The first 333 to purchase both cameras will receive one of three previously unavailable concert posters designed by Rob Jones.

Miscellaneous: problems gaining access to the forum
it's been brought to my attention recently that some people are still having trouble accessing the forum.
please read the following information:
option 1. it is possible to access the forum if you use a different theme. it seems the redDFC theme is not working. but the dragonfly, pink ice and cpgnuke themes are working fine.
scroll way down and on the left there should be a box titled "PREVIEW THEME". you should see a drop down menu, if not and there is a + sign click it to get the drop down, choose any theme except for the redDFC theme.
option 2.
-google "candy cane children"
-choose google's "cached" version of CCC
-from there, you can change the theme

Miscellaneous: Indie Translations of The White Stripes (tribute album)

Indie Translations of The White Stripes
Catalog #: VIT-8970
Release Date: 2/21/2006
Details:
The dynamic duo, the musical superheroes that made rock’n’roll dirty again. Except there are no hidden identities here. Jack and Meg White don’t use assumed names. Then again, don’t assume anything concerning the White Stripes, who embrace music not trends. Beginning with the fundamentals—blues and punk—the band continued to increase its sonic palette with each new release. Rock, pop, country & western; sometimes all at once. By keeping their songs simple, the White Stripes make anything and everything possible.
The White Stripes opened the doors of creativity, making old sounds new again. Indie Translations of the White Stripes is one big thank you note. The bands on this album have been liberated from the shackles of redundancy by the idiosyncratic tastes of Jack and Meg White. Indie Translations of the White Stripes is a celebration of the Detroit duo and the history of wonderful music.
Tributed Artists:
Soda & His Million Piece Band, Joshua Lanes, Long Goners, Rise of the Speedmen, Fine Machine, Molly Zenobia, Dutchbunny, Film Score 5, Paluka all paying tribute to The White Stripes
